Get a Large Camping Tent to Hold Anywhere from 6 to 12 People Comfortably

Get a large camping tent if you have a lot of people that you want to fit into the space. This is a great idea for those that like to go on trips with their friends and family, but yet do not have the money and resources to get a ton of separate tents. This is understandable, considering that they can be expensive, especially in this economy. The sad part is, brands like Coleman, Northwest Territory, Hillary, Wenzel, and Swiss Gear don't make things any easier because they are charging higher prices these days.

Now, let's get back to the issue at hand. You want a large tent for camping and right? So, you need to decide just how many people you plan on fitting in the wigwam. You need to figure out exactly how many people are going to be camping with you on a regular basis. This is crucial, because you can plan for a couple of different things. First, you can decide if you are going to always be inviting other people with you. If that is the case, then get a 10 or 12 person size. These are great because of their sheer mass and volume.

However, if you feel that it's only going to be your big family going on camping trips for the most part, then you should be fine with a five, six, or even seven person size. They can still be varied use, especially if you get a dome roof or one with a patio with one of those fancy screens. Keep in mind that these are all just options, and you'll run into plenty of those later, especially when you start to look at materials like canvas, waterproof, and lightweight.

That's one other thing I feel like I should mention because it's important. You want to get one that's lightweight. Now, it doesn't have to be ultralight, unless of course you plan on doing a lot of hiking and backpacking. However, if you're just doing traditional camping then you want it to be a nice balance. Don't try to stress about it too much, as you'll soon to see the benefits and the pros and cons of each different type of model. Also, don't spend too much money on that because you need to save money for gear, supplies, and equipment. Most important, have fun doing it.
