Tefal steam irons are famous because they were supposedly the first to have the non stick chemical on them that prevents damage from happening to the clothes you’re drying. Now, this is an amazing development and other manufacturers were soon to follow. Currently, Rowenta, Shark, Euro Pro, Black & Decker, Oliso, Sussman, and Panasonic all use this material. So, if you're going for that because you don't want your clothes to stick when you're trying to dry clean them then you do not need to buy from a certain manufacturer. Just make sure you get it from the right one.

Obviously, if the manufacturers were smart enough to use the special chemical they will proudly display it prominently on the box. However, I've seen in some rare cases where they do not, but if you ask people that are working at the store if they will probably be able to tell you. Still, it's always a good idea to get the box that promises it is there, so you won't be disappointed that way.
